Scrap 2″x 4″ lumber, salvaged fluorescent,

Forest fire was a site-specific commission, done with Meow Wolf for the Life is Beautiful music festival, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Sculptures from scrap 2x’ lumber charred and back-lit filled the room. Upon entering the smell of the burned wood, and screeching rhythmic music confronted you. In time the light danced with the music, varying from white to yellow, orange and red, while a steady haze lingered in the air. the walls mural was black on black radiant lines burst from the comers and weaving with the opposing burst. The music was a collaboration between myself and Nicholas Chiarella and Ben Wright, using a recorded noise then data bent and a rhythm developed around it.
