1940’s Shed from ABQ South Valley, Grow lights, Native Flowers
8′ x 6′ x 8′
Relegation was a temporary public art installation, this project was supported by the City of Albuquerque Public Art Division, the City of Albuquerque’s Special Events Department, the Rail Yards Market and The Harwood Art Center.
The project involves a 1940s shed collected from Albuquerque’s South Valley. Old and destined for the dump, the shed was deconstructed, re-envisioned, and reassembled with the floors covered with native flowers and a bright light emanating from inside. To see the transformation, you must peek through the cracks and openings to discover the change within.
